Are you a passionate, dedicated Accommodation Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an Accommodation Support Worker to join a team based in Wythenshawe.

Umbrella Rate: £15.75 - £17.78 per hour 

Duration: 11/12/2023 – 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hrs/week – Hybrid

Accommodation Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Assess the needs of homeless applicants and from that assessment match the cases to an appropriate move on scheme, this could be supported accommodation, private rented tenancies, MCC in house accommodation or social housing through Manchester Move
• Deal with clients presenting with complex needs such as with active or recovering from drug and alcohol addition, past serious offenders, mental health conditions, physical health conditions
• Deal with safeguarding concerns and take necessary steps to escalate concerns to manager and adult safeguarding agencies
• Lone working responsibilities making visits so clients staying in homeless B&Bs and Hotels through Manchester
• Act as first point of contact for customers of the Homelessness service, providing information and advice
• Assist customers in accessing support relating to benefits, education, employment
• Develop strong working relationships
• Keep accurate and up to date records
• Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Essential Requirements

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent experience working in homelessness and move on support work
• Experience dealing with clients presenting with complex needs such as with active or recovering from drug and alcohol addition, past serious offenders, mental health conditions, physical health conditions
• Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns
• Experience in multi-agency working and lone working
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Adult DBS registered to the update service
