Accounting Technician – Esher (Temp Vacancy)

Pay Rate: £20.30ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

To support the Chief Accountant in providing comprehensive financial information, advice and support to the Resources Directorate and Chief Executive.

Accountabilities:  

• To assist the Chief Accountant in the preparation revenue estimates for Resources and Chief Executive in accordance with approved timescales.
• To prepare and submit, appropriate statistical returns to CIPFA, Government Departments and other organisations.
• Ensure all relevant deadlines are met.
• Liaise with colleagues in all departments as appropriate.
• To undertake available training opportunities identified through appraisal and supervision and show a commitment to continuous development, to maximise your potential and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services.

• To produce the salary estimates for the portfolios within the postholder’s area of responsibility.
• To assist in the calculation of Central Support and Office Accommodation recharges.
• To assist with the calculation of Insurance Recharges.
