Job Description

Caseworker – Refugee, Resettlement & Migration Service
3x Chichester based (or south of county), 2x Crawley based (or north of county)
Umbrella Pay- £18.37 per hour 
30/09/2024 – 3 months initially
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 37 hrs/week (Hybrid – working with a minimum of 2 days per week in office, and locality visits to customers’ homes)
  • Working directly with refugee and migrant individuals and families to support with all facets of their relocation to the UK, from their initial arrival in the country right through to support into their eventual settled address
  • Ensure all refugees have full access to the support that enables and promotes social integration, social connections, wellbeing, participation in communities and a sense of belonging
  • Guide adult family members through the welfare system and assist with a clear pathway to independence
  • Provide support with housing, income, education, employment, health and wellbeing
  • Track progress of refugee integration including early identification of any concerns that may need urgent or specialist support
  • Coordinating with volunteers and wider communities to help integrate families, enabling them to acquire the knowledge they need to regain their independence and integrate successfully into our county
  • Build partnerships with internal and external partners and the voluntary and community sector
  • Liaising with key partners to help deliver successful outcomes
  • Case management and accurate data recording
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in refugee resettlement and migration or social care
  • Ability to facilitate and implement support plans for refugees
  • Experience in coordinating and working with partners and volunteers
  • Experience in providing detailed casework notes for individuals and families
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
