Contact Supervisor – Children Services – North London.
Are you a passionate, dedicated Contact Supervisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Contact Supervisors to work closely with Children and their Families in the North London area.
Umbrella Rate: £12:00 - £14.72
Saturday rate: £18:00
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 08:45am – 18:00pm, 36 hours per week. – Contact Centre based. Occasional Saturday working with an enhanced rate.
Information of the Role:
- To be responsible for the direct provision of professional, child-centred contact supervision, within the Family Resource Centre and other designated locations as appropriate.
- To ensure provision, recording, assessment and monitoring of Child Contact, regarding children’s racial and ethnic backgrounds and always with the needs and safety of the child as the paramount concern
- To offer direct provision, within an environment that is warm, welcoming, supportive, and accepting of service users of child-centred social work, of supervision of children, to family, friends and carers, working always within the terms of court orders and referring agencies’ conditions of contact and, in partnership with parents and carers.
- The Team Leader will be responsible for 3/4 contact supervisors, providing 8 weekly individual development supervisions.
- To ensure the service is delivered within its statutory obligations under legislation governing health and safety, fire safety, first aid and risk assessments.
- The Team Leader will join other Team Leaders in providing weekly Systemic Reflective team session to staff.
- Team Leader to attend Contact agreement meetings which is chaired by an allocated Social Worker but will record the agreement expectations.
- The Team Leader will share in the day-to-day management of the centre and will be supported by a Senior Team Leader and the Centre Manager.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and First Aid would be an advantage, but support and training can be provided.
- To engage with referrers, agencies, and families to ensure the effectiveness of the service provided and ensure compliance from other parties with the terms of the Contact Agreement.
Requirements of the Role:
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or above in Social Work, Childcare or another related field.
- Full UK Driving Licence and assess to own vehicle.
- Experience of working directly with Children and Families in need and Child Protection Work and assessing risk.
- Court Work Experience.
- Knowledge of the responsibilities of Children’s Services in relation to children and families
- Knowledge of child protection protocols, indicators, issues, and procedures, including recognition of the signs and symptoms of child abuse, including neglect and emotional abuse
- Current Adult & Child enhanced DBS or on the update system.
- Ability to work in partnership with service users, colleagues from Social Services and other partner disciplines.
- Computer literacy and experience of MS Word, Excel and able to maintain client database system.
- Knowledge of the responsibilities of Children’s Services in relation to children and families.
- Organisational and team working skills including ability to prioritise and plan work and with report writing skills to Court standard.
- Ability to work flexible starting and finishing hours; must be able to work until 6 p.m. most days.
