EHC Caseworker - CYPS/ Early Help and SEND - Haringey
Are you a passionate, dedicated EHC Caseworker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting an EHC Caseworker to join a CYPS/ Early Help and SEND team based in Haringey.
Umbrella Rate: £24.13 per hour
Duration: 23/11/2023 – 3 months initially
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, 36 hrs/week
EHC Caseworker role: Full JD Available
- Responsible as the key professional in bringing together and identifying key information on children’s special educational needs across professional groups and agencies to achieve the best outcomes for children with SEND
- Identify appropriate outcomes and resourcing that is then devolved to settings in order to support children and young people with SEND between the ages of 0-25 years
- Responsible for writing the education health and care plan for a child (EHCP) in collaboration with the parent and child
- Work with children young people and families to identify their wishes, views and aspirations
- Independently meet with parents to discuss proposed EHCP’s and parental response to EHCP’s, negotiating and resolving and areas of disagreement, with an awareness of local resource
- Responsible for receiving and interpreting reports and advice for proposed EHC plans
- Draft responses to Council Members and Members of Parliament on individual cases
- Maintain and update database
- Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary
Essential Requirements
- Professional qualification related to working with children at degree or higher education level
- Experience in writing ECH plans
- Knowledge of the code of practice as it affects performance targets and funding for children to meet their SEND needs
- Understanding of SEND and how it affects learning and social inclusion
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent written skills
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
