Job Description
Estates Valuation Surveyor Required (x2)
To actively manage the Council’s built estate, seeking to challenge and redefine the existing portfolio through the valuation, disposal, acquisition, development and management of land and buildings on behalf of the Council in accordance with the Council’s Asset Management Plan to maximise income from its corporate asset portfolio.

Duration - Permanent
Salary - £46,549
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Managing and supporting team colleagues in the Corporate Estate. Including the management of other assigned resources such as budgets with a value of approximately £700k.
Inspecting and valuing property across a broad portfolio for letting, acquisition, disposal, property management and review purposes in line with RICS professional standards.
Undertaking tasks associated with the financial management of capital, revenue income and expenditure budgets and service charges.
Evaluating proposals for transactions or schemes for existing property or new acquisitions to redefine the portfolio.
Managing internal customers and tenants, dealing with day to day tenant enquiries relating to liabilities under their legal agreements such as repairs, use, service charges and rent payments
Assessing and negotiating a range of property transactions.
Contributing towards the development of the Asset Management Strategy.
Working with other Divisions to provide corporate property valuation services.
Providing professional advice to clients in relation to property management and valuations.
Undertaking other miscellaneous duties associated with the role.
Requirements
You will have a RICS qualification; preferably full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent. We will also consider candidates who are committed to achieving their APC within the next 12 months.
Educated to degree level or equivalent level of knowledge and/or experience.
