Income Officer – Camden (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate: £20.57ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

We’re looking for someone with a good amount of prior experience working in either a Former Tenant Arrear’s Officer role or an Income Recovery role, ideally gained from working within Housing Associations or similar organisations. Candidates should be self-motivated, should have a strong customer focus and will need experience in/an understanding of the following:

• Possession orders (and the ways this can affect the debt chasing process)
• Experian checks, how to conduct and use these to locate previous tenants
• Universal credit, housing benefit, welfare benefits etc., how changes in calculations and/or missed payments can affect a former tenant’s debt
• A good track record of negotiation, debt collection, the agreement of realistic repayment plans
• Conversing with third parties (e.g. DWP, Local Authorities) and/or next of kin to understand whether other benefits can be used to repay debt or to negotiate the repayment of debt

One Housing have not employed a Former Tenant Arrears Officer for a number of years and need someone who is confident, well-experienced and is comfortable hitting the ground running.
