Parent and Family Worker - Neurodevelopmental Behaviour Service - Nottingham

Are you a passionate, dedicated Parent and Family Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Parent and Family Worker to join a Neurodevelopmental Behaviour Service based in Nottingham.

Umbrella Rate: £18.31 per hour 

Duration: 18/12/2023 – 2 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week – Hybrid

Parent and Family Worker role: Full JD Available

  • Direct work with Children who have diagnosis of ADHD, ASD or have behaviours indicative of these conditions, and their families, in their homes and in group work settings
  • Caseload of 12 per month, 1 assessment per child
  • Referrals received from professionals such as schools, health visitors
  • Carry out observations of children
  • Assess and identify children who require onward referral for specialist assessment by Community Paediatricians
  • Assess their support needs and draw up, implement and review support plans
  • Liase with a variety of professionals and agencies to ensure all relevant information is included in the assessment prior to referral to Community Paediatricians
  • Provide practical and emotional support
  • Transport when required
  • Keep and maintain records of work done
  • Attend meetings, reviews and conferences and reviews

Essential Requirements

  • UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Level 3+ in Childcare, Teaching or Family Support
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children, young people and their families
  • An Understanding of ASD and ability of doing assessments
  • Experience delivering group work
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
