Personal Advisor - After Care Team - Oldham 

Are you a passionate, dedicated Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Personal Advisor to join a After Care Team based in Oldham. 

Pay Rates: £18.44 per hour

Duration: 25/09/2023 - 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:40 - 17:00, 36 hrs/week - Office based

Personal Advisor role: Full JD Available

• Direct working with young people aged 16 – 25 years who are or have been looked after or accommodated
• Assist the young people to live an independent life in their community
• Maintaining regular contact with young people
• Implement and review individual pathway plans for young people to meet assessed needs and risks
• Develop a local knowledge and understanding of resources which are available to meet the needs of the young people
• Engage with internal and external organisations as required to encourage and secure permanence in accommodation, education, employment and training and health
• Act as an advocate for the young people
• Ensure that their views and wishes are taken into account when developing Pathway Plans, promote their involvement at all times
• Develop strong, trusting working relationships
• Ensure files and records are accurately maintained
• Engage in regular team meetings and participate positively in Supervision with the Senior Practitioner or Service manager

Essential Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (such as Childcare or Health & Social Care)
• Recent experience working with young people within a leaving care setting
• Experience of keeping accurate records, writing reports whilst updating and reviewing care plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop working relationships
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
