Personal Advisor - Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children - Nottingham

Are you a passionate, dedicated Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Personal Advisor to join a specialist Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children team based within the Looked After and Leaving Care Service. 

Pay Rates: £18.31 per hour

Duration: 23/10/2023 - 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week - Hybrid (must be flexible)

Personal Advisor role: Full JD Available

  • Manage a caseload of young people who identity as UASC/ former UASC Care Leavers
  • Support their transition into adulthood
  • Review the needs of identified care leavers to ensure that plans and services reflect current needs and risks
  • Provide transportation of the young people where needed
  • Assist with the development within the team
  • Support social workers with any asylum assessments or interviews, and be part of a duty response to UASC presentations/ arrivals ensuring we offer the offer support available
  • Deal with internal and external enquires
  • Work collaboratively with a range of partner organisations to assess, plan and intervene with vulnerable young people and their families
  • Attend and contribute to statutory child care reviews and participate in meetings
  • Keep and maintain up to date records
  • Undertaking training or development opportunities where necessary

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 or above
  • Recent experience working with young people leaving care
  • Knowledge and understanding of human growth and development, and the particular issues relating to young people leaving care
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
