Senior Family Time Worker - Kensington and Chelsea
Are you a passionate, dedicated Senior Family Time Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Senior Family Time Worker to join a team based in Kensington and Chelsea.
Pay Rates: £26.27 per hour
Duration: 11/09/2023 - minimum of 4 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm, 36 hrs/week
Senior Family Time Worker role: Full JD Available
- Take leadership and management of the day to day functioning of Family Time Service from referral to delivery as directed by the Family Time Service Manager
- Manage the daily workload of the Family Time service, matching workers to contacts and ensuring all contact requests are covered
- Joint working with social workers and other partners
- Plan, arrange, and manage Family Time activities on a day-to-day basis
- Oversee and or supervise complex or difficult Family Time contacts and other contacts as needed
- Provide written assessments of child and family contact and prepare and present reports to Court or referring agency, as required
- Make arrangements for families to have pre-visits to designated family centres
- Undertake risk assessments for potential venues for contacts including pre-visits to family homes to ensure safe environments to work in and visit
- Quality assure contact reports submitted by Family Time Supervisors, addressing any issues identified by these reports
- Report all matters of concern immediately to the Team Manager
- Ensure the health and safety (H&S) of all users
- Participate in agreement meetings, reviews and case conferences, as required
- Maintain and develop relationships with social workers and service users
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 in Psychology, Sociology or Health and Social Care, a Teaching Certificate, or an NNEB & Early Years training)
- Experience of working directly with children and their families
- Experience and understanding of the issues that surround children living away from their parents
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to manage and supervise contact workers
- Ability to quality assure supervisor contact reports, make observations and assessments, and to write high quality reports
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered to the update service
