4Recruitment Services are seeking to recruit an Accounting & Bookkeeping Lecturer to support our client based in Wandsworth. This position is part time and temporary, hours are stated below:

Monday - 09:00 - 12:30, 13:30 -16:30, 18:00 - 21:00

Tuesday - 18:00 -21:00

You will be teaching Accounting, Bookkeeping and Finance on behalf of professional awarding bodies including AAT and City & Guilds to assure the success of students studying for professional career development qualifications.


  • To take responsibility for high quality delivery of student learning and assessment on the range of accounting and finance subjects to adult students on professional programmes including, but not limited to, City & Guilds Bookkeeping levels 1 & 2, and AAT levels 2 & 3, maintaining high standards of learning and teaching to meet the expectations of the College, student cohorts and the awarding bodies.
  • Where required, to be a Course Leader for a cohort of students within the curriculum area with responsibilities for managing individual student progress including attendance and punctuality and contribution to compliance with the quality assurance cycle for the college to assure learner success.
  • To liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and support the successful recruitment, delivery and achievement of learners to the School’s curriculum portfolio with particularly reference to accounting and finance courses.
  • To maintain and provide accurate and timely information as needed and expected by the college, awarding bodies and other stakeholders using appropriate systems and frameworks in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To work flexibly within an agreed timetable to include up to two evenings per week with an occasional Saturday.
  • To commit to continuing personal and professional development to ensure standards of teaching and learning and professional subject expertise continue to improve and meet current expectations.


  • Enhanced DBS
  • Successful record of teaching AAT in accounting
  • Proven record of continuing professional practice to ensure professional competence
  • Professional level qualifications in AAT or ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
  • Degree or post-graduate degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Educated to GCSE/ level 2 or equivalent with grades A*-C in English and Mathematics
  • An appropriate teaching qualification e.g. PGCE or equivalent
  • Assessor/Verifier Awards or equivalent e.g. TDLB or A1/V1
  • Working knowledge from an accounting background
  • Meet the standards specified by AAT to teach on AAT qualifications. (Approval from AAT is required)
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in accounting related software e.g. Sage, Excel Spreadsheets
  • Able  to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Able to use initiative, organise and prioritise
  • Able to identify and implement improvements in existing systems
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Able to produce and present reports to a variety of audiences
