Bolton Council – Human Resources Administrator

Location: Victoria Square, Bolton, Lancashire BL1 1RU

Contract: Initial three-month contract with possible further extension.

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday

Payrate: £9.99 an Hour

Description:

HR Administrator/s needed for busy team, primarily working on recruitment activity. Role includes placing adverts, arranging interviews, processing offer paperwork, undertaking clearance checks and processing other letters/emails to employees.

This is a complex role requiring good attention to detail and strong ICT skills. All our processes are automated therefore previous experience of electronic recruitment systems/ATS is essential.

We are currently starting to return to the office therefore an office-based/home-working rota will be agreed with successful candidate/s.

Duties and responsibilities

To provide support to members of the HR Team, and also to its customers

To plan, organise and improve your work to meet specified requirements and deadlines.

To record, store and supply information

To communicate information using telephone and electronically

To support and maintain the accurate use of HR information systems, both manual and computerised (including use of the Oracle system)

To design, create and produce a range of documents from various sources to specified deadlines, including mail merge.

To attend meetings to take notes / minutes, in writing or via a laptop / computer, and produce appropriate documentation.

To determine the nature of customer requirements and ensure the appropriate advice / support is given or action taken.

To ensure safe working practices within the immediate work area in conjunction with Departmental Health and Safety Policy.

To adhere to council policies and procedures, handling information with confidentiality and integrity at all times.
