Childrens Social Worker - Care Proceedings & Court Team

We are currently looking for a Childrens Social Worker -Care Proceedings & Court Team to work with one of our clients based in Vale of Glamorgan. You will be working for the council.

Pay rates up to £32ph

There is an opportunity for two qualified social workers to join a  team within the Vale of Glamorgan Children’s Services who support those children subject of care proceedings before the Court, or where pre proceedings planning is taking place under the Public Law Outline.

What does the Care Planning and Proceedings do?

-         Focus on pre and care proceedings

-         Allows team members to achieve timely and effective planning for those children whose plans are subject to the Public Law Outline or before the court

-         Where the child's plan is adoption, this work is held within the team to support continuity until the Adoption Order is granted

You will need:

-        A minimum of 18 months experience within a similar role within a Local Authority setting

-        Experience of completing parenting assessments

-        Experience of preparing reports for court

-        Ability to write reports to a high standard

-        Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines

-        To be registered with Social Care Wales

You will be offered:

-        You will have access to a Family Aide Worker whose role is to provide practical support to families and a Direct Work Practitioner whose role is to undertake life journey work with children and young people

-        Access to training opportunities which are relevant to your role and caseload

-        Hourly rate will be considered depending upon experience
