Contact Supervisor- Children in Care- Peterborough

Are you a passionate, dedicated Contact Supervisor looking for your additional hours? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting Contact Supervisors to work in a nursing home in the Peterborough area.

Pay Rates: £11.50 - £14.32 per hour (Umbrella Rates)

What you will be doing: (Full Job Description available)

This is a 2 hour a week commitment for a worker to facilitate family time between a parent and their children. The candidate will need to have covered contact previously and have a understanding of what to look for to record in the notes. Ideally the contact will be at the same time each week, this can be discussed in the interview.

The children live in Peterborough so the person will need to be local to the area.

Key Tasks:

Arranging and Supervising of contact.

To assist in the assessment process

To commission services both internally and externally

To undertake complete holistic assessments of service user needs on less complex cases, to include a range of outcomes

Arranging/providing transport for/or acting as escort to clients.

Disseminating information to clients (eg facilities available in the community and/or provided by the Department).

Assisting Social Workers and others in the implementation of assessment, intervention and care plans.

Liaison with voluntary bodies and other services, agencies or groups working in the area, as appropriate.

Serving on ad hoc bodies/working parties etc.

Recording of all work undertaken and the preparation of reports/ assessments.

Assisting or running group and community projects in the area, as appropriate.

To undertake such training as is required.

To maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines.

To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of the post.

You will also be required during the course of your duties to comply with Council policies as follows: Environmental Equal Opportunities Health and Safety No Smoking

Providing services to all client groups if required, including the more routine statutory visiting of children in care.

To be involved, jointly with the Service Manager, in reviewing work and caseload at regular intervals, including the closure and transfer of cases.

To undertake complete holistic assessments of service user needs on less complex cases, to include a range of outcomes including community and residential services, in whatever service user group.

To undertake reviews of service users and their care plans.

Essential Requirements:

Excelled written & verbal communication skills.
