Job Description
Coventry– Refuse Collector
Location: 259 London Road, Coventry, CV3 4AR.
Contract: Initial three-month contract with further extensions
Hours: Shift hours
Payrate: £9 an hour
Description:
To provide a daily refuse service, working as part of a small team on a rounds-based operation, which may be responsible for domestic waste collection, trade waste collection or recycling.
Whitley Depot
Domestic - Shifts operate between 7.00am and 4.30pm Tuesday to Friday.
NBBC – Shifts operates between 6.30am to 2:45pm Monday to Friday
Commercial – Shifts operate between 5.30am and 10:00pm Monday – Friday and 5.00am and 7:00pm at weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities
Aware of safe working practices.
Able to understand verbal instruction, working with supervision within a small team.
Physically able to collect wheeled bins, sacks, commercial waste bins, and recycling boxes making appropriate use of the mechanical bin lifts where applicable.
Will need to have Hi Vis, Safety footwear for walking up to 12 miles a day in all weather conditions.
