Job Description

CQC Registered Service Manager - Domiciliary Care/Nursing Care – North London

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director, you will have overall responsibility for the delivery of high-quality nursing and care for our service users. As the Registered Manager, you will provide effective leadership and management at branch level to ensure the cost- effective delivery of services, that the branch office and staff are fully compliant with all policies, procedures and regulation, and that all business objectives and targets are met. You will monitor and manage the performance of all staff; ensuring standards are maintained and exceeded. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to clients and their families, whilst creating personalised care plans for each person. You will work closely with a core team of nurses and support workers. As a service manager, you will set up new branches and mentor other registered managers.

Main duties

  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation system that will ensure tracking of care results at different levels (outputs, outcomes and impact).
  • Promotes learning and capacity building including developing and implementing M&E standards, policies and guidelines, and tools.
  • Plans duty rotas and organises and directs the work and training of nursing staff and carers
  • Supervises the implementation of care plans specific to an individual client's needs
  • Advises on nursing care, disease prevention, nutrition, etc. and liaises with CCG, CHC teams to establish and maintain bespoke packages of care
  • Build and maintain sophisticated relationships with client's family
  • Ensuring that the Company’s activity is fully compliant with the Health and Social Care Act; and conforms in all respects with the standards and requirements of CQC, Local Authority and CCG
  • Be responsible for the promotion of Service Users safety and well-being always and demonstrate commitment to safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed to ensure proper administration of all regulatory compliance.
  • Where appropriate prepare and provide accurate information which the Company is contractually obliged to provide commissioners and customers
  • Develop suitable relationships and seek growth opportunities
  • Establish and maintain regular links with the Local Authorities and CCG/CHC
  • Deliver against business targets and growth targets set by the company.
  • Ensuring the provision of care and the allocation of nurses and support workers meets the needs of the service users/ customers, is safe, of the expected quality and is compliant with all of the Company’s contractual obligations.
  • Ensuring that all training is monitored, recorded and that staff receive mandatory induction training, annual updates and personal development support appropriate.
  • Managing and supervising staff performance, including formal annual staff appraisals, regular supervisory meetings, and spot checks.
  • Maintaining full, up-to-date and accurate records and files of nurses, care-workers and Service Users, in line with statutory requirements and Company procedures; and ensuring that no unauthorised access is granted to any such records.
  • Implementing the Company’s quality assurance procedures and ensuring that all aspects of care delivery are carried out to a high-quality standard.

Business Development

  • Set up new branches and recruit/mentor new managers
  • Develop suitable relationships and seek growth opportunities
  • To establish and maintain regular links with the Local Authorities and CCG/CHC

Required skills

  • Hold level 7 Leadership and Management in Health and Social care
  • Have at least 10 years experiences in domiciliary care
  • Have extensive experience working in care and community services
  • Take responsibility for their position and management of their team.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and people management skills capable of providing a supportive management style that can bring out the best in others.
  • Have advanced verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with all stake holders.
  • Be willing to work across multiple sites and on various projects.
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a calm and patient manner.
  • Have excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Be a highly energetic individual who is a self-starter and able to handle conflicting and competing priorities.
  • Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Have excellent IT literacy skills.
  • Be capable of creating and maintaining administrative systems.

Pay rate – Negotiable
