Croft – Finance Support Assistant
Location: Arbor Road, Croft, Leicestershire, LE9 3GE
Contract: Initial six-month contract with further extensions
Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday
Payrate: £9.80 an hour
Home working but some meeting requirements will be in Croft
To assist the Team Leader/Manager and finance team with adherence with financial policies and procedures to order to deliver a quality, customer focussed, cost effective and efficient service, which:
complies with the Adult Social Care Strategy & Scheme of Delegation:
integrates monitoring of performance targets and agreed standards
develops and maintains effective partnership working including colleagues in the Care Pathway, DWP and Office of Public Guardian etc.
To assist the finance team with the financial procedures and the processing of information relating to appointeeship and deputyship.
To ensure that the information and data for which they are responsible meets the standard set by the service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
To be responsible for carrying out all the duties of the job in accordance with the County Councils Equality and Diversity Policy.
Promote the Council’s values when working with Service Users, colleagues, Partners and other Stakeholders.
As directed by their manager, ensure that they maintain an awareness of appropriate specialist, technical, legislative and regulatory knowledge and ensure they are consistently applied and are reflected within the services provided.
To comply with the County Council’s policies and supporting documentation in relation to Information Governance this includes Data Protection,
Information Security and Confidentiality, ensuring that accurate information is held on data management systems such as Oracle/LAS/ContrOCC/Caspar/Outlook, and paper files, and communicated safely and securely.
To work and promote good communication through phone, email or post; dealing queries from service users, family, contractors and other liaising with partner services and agencies (internal and external) as required.
To work in accordance with agreed work instructions to maintain continuous service improvement.
To support all business continuity arrangements.
To work as part of a team and to support the training of colleagues in their role.
To retrieve, analyse and provide accurate and relevant information to enable the resolution of issues, cases and complaints in a timely, sensitive and effective manner.
To review case notes, interrogate systems and run reports to extract relevant information to resolve queries and monitor/process/action information
To verify and accurately calculate financial and other appropriate information as required.
To record all actions undertaken and relevant information on the service user case file.
To enter and update information held on computer systems; to include IAS (ContrOCC and LAS), Wisdom, Oracle and Caspar
To contribute to process improvements, and to ensure up-to-date procedural guidance documentation is adhered to; to support any policy and/or process changes, and/or developments in new service initiatives.
To adhere to business continuity and data recovery arrangements, updating system documentation where required.
To provide information to enable a response to complaints, FOI requests and data breaches in a timely, sensitive and effective manner in accordance with Corporate and Statutory policy.
To provide relevant information as directed by their manager for the preparation of performance reports.
