JOB TITLE: Educational Psychologist

LOCATION: Wokingham

PAY: £318 per day (PAYE) or £396 per day (Umbrella)  

PLACEMENT: from 3rd August - 26th October 2020, 2 - 3 days per week  

4Recruitment Services are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to work within Wokingham.

The role will involve you working from home and travelling around the Borough.

You will be required to undertake Education, Health and Care needs Assessments.

This will include meeting the child their parents/carers, school /setting staff and carrying out the assessment.

You will be expected to complete each assessment in two days following the Wokingham template and a range of ages.

The assessments will be on behalf of children with a range of special educational needs.

The role will involve:

The consultant EP to undertake detailed statutory Assessments. The purpose of these assessments is to address the unprecedented demand for the Education Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments.

The consultant EP to assess children and young people’s Special Educational Need, provide a report describing this need and identifying provision that is required to meet that need.

This activity will be undertaken for children and young people for whom SEN Panel have agreed that a statutory EHC needs assessment should be carried out.

The consultant EP to keep in touch with the Principal EP via email or telephone on a weekly basis to ensure that work is being completed in a timely manner and new work is allocated promptly.  

Where a CIN Risk Assessor raises a case of concern, this is to be escalated immediately via email (separately to the end of week return).

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Right to Work in the UK

DBS check

HCPC registration

Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Experience working as an Education Psychology within the UK
