Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a Children and Young People’s Team based in Barnsley. 

Pay Rates: £17.42 per hour

Duration: 15/05/2023 - 06/10/2023

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 37 hrs/week - Hybrid

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Supporting the Social Workers to meet the needs of Children who have a Child in Need, Child Protection, or PLO plan
• Direct work with children and their families
• Home or community visits with Social Workers
• Undertake appropriate referrals to specialist and statutory services where needs
• Report and record any safeguarding concerns
• Transporting children to school or appointments
• Support the parents by providing advice, support and guidance and promote learning and positive parenting skills
• Deliver interventions and supporting interventions that have clear initial assessment and targets and objectives which are reviewed at regular intervals with the family
• Build strong, trusting work relationships
• Organising meetings and appointments
• Ensure that all files/records are maintained

Essential Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, car business insurance
• Recent extensive experience working with vulnerable children and their families
• Extensive knowledge of child and family development
• Knowledge of the Early Help Assessment and associated paperwork and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
