Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker to join their team based in Catford, Lewisham. You will work directly with children, young people and families on the Referral and Assessment Team/ Family Support Service Team. 

Pay Rates: £19.11 - £22.97 per hour

Duration: 3 months initially with possible extension

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Work with young people and their families to provide support to improve outcomes, address challenges, reduce risks to children and to enable families to make and sustain change.
• Build trusting relationships.
• Work with them on issues such as parenting functioning, employment, school attendence, homlessness, learning difficulties ect.
• Encourage positive behaviour.
• Assess parenting skills and help parents/ carers to build caring abilties.
• Udertake assessments and plans to resolve issues.
• Keep records of work undertaken, prepare reports for reviews, conferences and courts.
• Keep reports on behaviour/ concerns.
• Make professional referrals where needed.
• Attend meetings and conferences.
• Work with outside contacts such as police, social services, mental health teams, schools.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families
• Recent experience in family support
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
