Family Support Worker/ Social Work Assistant - Oldham 

Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Support Worker/ Social Work Assistant to join a safeguarding and vulnerable children team based in Oldham. You will be required to safeguard the welfare of children who are subject to child protection/ child in need plans and/or in the care of the local authority. 

Pay Rates: £13.04 per hour

Duration: 3 months initially 

Family Support Worker role: Full JD Available

• Direct work with the children and young people
• Develop individual plans for the children and young people to ensure needs are met
• Assessment visits to provide practical help and advice on issues they are having
• Understanding of resourcing available to meet the needs i.e.. support groups, children’s centres
• Maintain files and records
• Provide written and verbal contributions to meetings based on the children and families
• Contact supervision
• Practical parent observations to provide to the social worker/ court
• Attend court if required

Essential Requirements:

• UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent experience working with children in need, young people & their families
• Recent experience in Family Support
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
