Finance officer -Hackney

Location: Hackney Council, 1 Hilman Street, E8 1GQ

Contract:  initial 4 -month contract with possible further extension

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay: £15.74per hour (depending on experience)

Job Purpose: 

• Ensure that financial planning and administration relating to Additional Needs payments are undertaken appropriately and to assist in the development and management of a financial strategy and core financial services.
• Maintain effective financial I.T and other administrative systems for reporting financial data.

The primary purpose of the role is to:

• Process a range of financial transactions
• Process complex purchase orders
• Maintain effective systems and financial controls
• Undertake financial administration relating to Additional Needs payments
• To undertake additional or other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and as directed and deemed appropriate by the Line Manager.
