Handyperson / Roofer / Fabric Tech Required
Ref: JMNC36052
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am till 4pm
Duration: Temp to Perm
Temp Hourly Rate: £17ph via umbrella
Perm Salary on Offer: £28,750per annum
Info:
To provide efficient and effective building maintenance support to the Facility, in the repair, maintenance, and installation of roofs and flashings.
Work involves repairing, maintaining, and removing roofs and the installation of new ones.
Ensuring general appearance of the buildings are maintained in accordance with the required standards.
Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by management are adhered to.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
Able to repair a range of profiled roofing and cladding systems.
Able to repair a range of composite panel roof & wall cladding systems.
Able to inspect composite industrial/commercial type roofs (Kingspan, sheet metal, cladded) for leaks.
Remove old roofs, installs roof insulation, felts bitumen’s and performs repairs as indicated to leaking roofs.
Apply alternate layers of hot asphalt or tar and roofing paper to roofs.
Trained in the use of pro-detail triflex sealing systems or similar systems/products.
Repair and installation of Plastisol roofing/cladding systems.
Determines materials required for roof repairs, flashing repairs, and the installation of new roofs.
To ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris.
Identify any defects found to Line Manager.
Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
Answering calls on fabric and plumbed services as required and carrying out surveys, highlighting major defects to management to enable quotations to be prepared
Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by administration team.
To monitor stock levels of consumable and arrange to replenish supplies including requisition, storage and distribution of such items.
Essential Qualifications:
Divers License
CSCS Card
Desirable Qualifications:
Asbestos Awareness (UKATA)
Working On Heights Training
PASMA
IPAF 3a & 3b
