Are you a passionate, dedicated Homeless Prevention Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Homeless Prevention Officer to join their team based in Leicester. You will be required to prevent and relieve homelessness in the city by assisting customers with accommodation or housing.

Pay Rates: £17.53 per hour

Duration: 13/02/2023 - 2/3 months minimum 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hrs/week - Office based

Homeless Prevention Officer role: Full JD Available

• Undertake assessment and investigation of homelessness approaches and applications.
• Develop, update and review personalised housing plans with customers.
• Assist customers to either retain their present accommodation or with the provision of an alternative housing resolution.
• Ensure access to suitable housing for those in need in line with the Homelessness Strategy and relevant statutory legislation.
• Manages a large, varied and complex caseload.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and other information.
• Produce written correspondence including legal notification letters for statutory homeless applications.
• Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, external bodies, service users, landlords as well as other housing organisations.

Essential Requirements:

• Recent experience working with homeless clients
• Recent experience carrying out interviews, investigations and negotiations
• Knowledge of all homeless legislation, housing legislation, welfare benefit expertise and social care knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Standard DBS Certificate
