HR Advisor – Hereford (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Rate: £14.00ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

You’ll be joining our friendly, experienced and growing HR Team, with whom you’ll deliver an effective and efficient HR advisory service. You’ll also get the chance to utilise and build your OD experience as part of the role.

No two days will be the same and you certainly won’t be bored. A typical week will see you advising on an employee relations case, supporting our recruitment and retention projects, analysing our workforce data, coaching a new manager to give meaningful feedback, undertaking job evaluations, facilitating a staff panel, preparing for a recruitment fair and writing a new HR policy. 

You’ll be predominantly home-based and you can expect to work from our Covid-secure Hereford office for 1 day per week, on average. This reflects the fact that, whilst most of our business is carried out remotely at the moment, there are occasions when we have to attend face-to-face, socially distanced meetings with employees so you must be prepared to travel.

  • A solutions-focussed approach to ER casework and change management activities which meets business needs
  • The ability to look deeper to figure out what's causing a problem, so you can help to fix the underlying systems and processes to make a lasting difference 
  • The ability to deliver a variety of work at pace, without compromising on quality
  • You will need to be a self-starter, capable of independent working, prioritising your workload to support the team you will be joining
  • Ideally, you’ll have experience of supporting a change programme, together with local government experience.
