Job Description

We are currently looking for a Interim Conference & Review Manager/LADO to work with one of our clients based in Bracknell. You will be working for the council.

Monday - Friday 

08:00 am - 17:00 pm

Temp contract

Pay rates between £40 - £50ph

Job Purpose 

  • The post holder will be responsible for leading a team with overall responsibility for Child Protection Conferences and the IRO Service
  • The post holder will also be the designated Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver a timely, effective and independent system for Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children Reviews in accordance with Government Guidelines and Legislation.
  • To ensure recording and minute taking is up to date and that all staff are compliant in the use of the case recording system.
  • To ensure regular professional supervision is undertaken with the team members.
  • To chair a small number of Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children Reviews where needed.
  • To work in partnership with the Chief Officer and Service Heads within Children’s Social Care, and with the range of external partners engaged in supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • To lead quality assurance activity within the team functions, ensuring the quality of practice reflects remains high and supports ongoing professional development for the whole team.
  • To contribute to the work of the LSCB through Forum membership and membership of the Learning and Improvement Group.
  • To undertake performance monitoring of the team and report to Children’s Social Care Management Team, the Department Management Team, the LSCB and other groups  where appropriate.
  • To work with the team to produce an annual IRO report and an annual Child Protection Conference report.
