Job Description

Description: Attending meetings to minute take and advise governing bodies in Schools, which can happen face-to-face or remotely. There is a 10-day turn around from the meeting date to providing the Team with the minutes. There are 9-20 attendees at the governing body meeting and 3-6/7 attendees at the committee meeting.

You do not need shorthand, you can type or use long hand to take minutes - you cannot record the meeting unless this has been agreed by all the governors in advance.

Based at home except to attend the meetings to take the minutes. Option to just minute the remote/virtual meetings. The successful candidates will work at various schools close to their home address. There may be occasions when they need to meet the school governors team at Civic Centre 3.

The Service can be flexible to suit the individual - be it evening work or during the day, as well as how the work is organised. Elements of Business Support will be required. Training will be provided. See additional documents attached for further information.
