Legal Compliance Officer – Greenwich (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate: £25.28ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

A temporary position is available, for someone with legal training, to manage a complex information governance issue. This temporary post will sit within legal services but will need to liaise with Children’s services.

Candidate will be responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with a Right of Access request (AKA subject access request) in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018, require a good knowledge of the DPA 2018 and the applicable sections relevant to the disclosure of exempt information.   Candidate will need to ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in their work and will have to collate, and quality assure your work, prior to seeking approval for release. 

Candidate will need to provide an excellent and professional standard of service including, where necessary, providing advice and guidance.  Will carry out all duties with a focus on customer service, with adherence to strict confidentiality standards and compliance with data protection, and related legislation and regulations.

Candidate will need to be IT literate but will be shown how to use specific software relevant to this work.

Candidate will undertake all duties with due regard to the provision of health and safety regulations and legislation, the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Customer Care policies and the new Technology agreement.
