Lifeguard Examiner/ Assessor

We are currently looking for a Lifeguard Examiner/ Assessor. You will be working in Cornwall

Hours worked per week: 37.5 hours 2 week rotational shift system

Temp Contract

Pay rate - £15.24ph 

Job Purpose

We are recruiting for an NPLQ qualified lifeguard in HMS RALEIGH, where we support the Royal Navy training. The role is to ensure the safety and conduct of all personnel in and around the Swimming Pool areas, including the changing rooms

Main Duties

• Attendance on the poolside whenever there is anyone in the water requiring supervision.
• Educate all users of pool, sauna and changing rooms of correct procedures.
• Ensure all users are aware of pool safety regulations.
• Ensure safe practices by all users of the pool, sauna and changing rooms.
• Monitor and correct conduct of all users of the pool, sauna & changing rooms.
• Compile pool logs.
• Monitor standard of pool cleanliness and hygiene reporting deficiencies to pool manager.
• Maintain good public relations and clear communication.
• Work effectively as part of the lifeguard team.
• Act as first line lead in an emergency.
• Checking the validity of passes/licenses of non-service organisations and identifying the organisation qualified lifesaver.
• Undertake duties in accordance with Normal Operating Plan (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
