Manchester – HR Assistant
Location: Town Hall Extension, Albert Square, M60 2LA
Contract: Initial five-month contract with further extensions
Hours: Full Time – Monday – Friday
Payrate: £11 an hour
This is an interesting and diverse opportunity to join our service as a HR officer, to build upon your excellent administrative skills and passion for providing an outstanding customer experience.
The role sits within the Compliance Team which forms part of the HROD Operations function and is responsible for supporting the Council in meeting its statutory obligations through the monitoring,
reviewing and administration of checks such as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Legal Right to Work Checks.
You will have IT skills in a range of Microsoft packages and have experience of using bespoke databases and systems.
Applicants need to demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
You will need to be conscientious in your own work with an emphasis on quality and high standards, as well as having an eye for detail when checking and reviewing documentation.
Previous experience of processing DBS applications and legal right to work checks would be an advantage.
There will be a mix of office and home working and the candidate will require their own laptop for remote working.
Work checks would be an advantage.
