Marketing officer -Central Bedfordshire  

Location: Priory house, Monks walk, Shefford, Bedfordshire, SG17 5TQ

Contract:  initial 4 -month contract with possible further extension

Hours: 37 hours per week

Pay: £14per hour (depending on experience)

Job Purpose: The communications team, in which the marketing function sits, provides communication, consultation and equality support to the council in order to promote, protect and enhance the brand and reputation of the organisation and its services. You can find your greatness by working alongside the marketing manager and wider communications team to plan and implement marketing campaigns that raise awareness of, and engage the public and key stakeholders with, CBC services. Focus areas range from inspiring residents to consider fostering, public health and environment sustainability. This role involves implementing marketing activities outlined in agreed marketing plans and supporting the marketing manager on the development of effective marketing activities.

The primary purpose of the role is to: Implement marketing activities outlined in agreed marketing plans, which align and support business priorities

• Support the marketing manager on the development of effective marketing plans and activities

• Monitor and improve the effectiveness of the marketing offer

• Commission and manage third party contracts (including for printing, design, training)

• Provide marketing support and guidance to colleagues and partners
