Job Description
Mechanical Engineer - Council properties
Location: Southwark – mobile role covering the local area.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am till 4:15pm.
Duration: 3 months minimum.
Pay: £19-£21ph paid weekly via umbrella.
Duties
To carry out the installation, maintenance, servicing and repairs of domestic & commercial heating, hot and cold water systems in domestic commercial, industrial and historic buildings.
To carry out reactive repairs, construction works, installations and minor works to buildings and construction site projects.
To carry out fault finding investigations and report in relation to the job roll.
To complete installation work to scale drawings and blue prints when provided.
To carry out and be skilled in at least one associated multi trade duty such as works in plastering, joinery, plumbing, mechanical/fitting and be able to operate all powered equipment and hand tools as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Must be fully qualified (City & Guilds or equivalent Plumbing/Mechanical)
(ACS) Gas Certificates of Competence for domestic, industrial and commercial gas installations.
Experience of the installation, service and maintenance of industrial/commercial and domestic building services. Including: heating, hot water, potable cold water, communal cold water storage, ventilation
Must hold full valid UK driver’s license
Must hold a current be able to pass a DBS check
