Job Description

Neighbourhood Response Officer Required

Based in Rugby but will have times of extensive travel - anywhere between Oxford and Derby 
Starting ASAP

Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm

6 months fix term - Highly likelihood this will be extended 

Paying up to £14ph via umbrella.

Must be able to pass a DBS

Full driving licence with use of own vehicle

Note:

Not a traditional housing officer – customer interventions. Systems, process.

Commercial model in social housing. All through contact centre. Tracked through central CRM system.
Get task from that comms and deliver it.

Estate manage management. Inspections, make sure estate is clean and tidy.

Above and beyond local activity.

Community development projects.

Main purpose of the role:

 To ensure that neighbourhoods are places that resident want to live. You’ll do this by understanding local needs and working collaboratively with other teams, residents’ groups and external partners; ensuring estates are clean, safe and well maintained, and improvements are identified, planned and delivered. To investigate breaches of tenancy, support more vulnerable customers and ensure that anti-social behaviour is addressed and prevented by working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies. Successful delivery will involve a strong collaborative approach across the teams and departments, local partners and residents. Key responsibilities

 Develop and deliver neighbourhood plans and local offers.

 Deliver a programme of regular estate inspections and prioritising fire safety risk assessment follow up work.

Work with local residents groups to develop local community facilities, activities and events as part of a neighbourhood plan and local offers.

Work collaboratively with local partners such as safer neighbourhood teams, the voluntary sector and youth services on neighbourhood safety and ASB issues, for ad hoc or routine meetings as appropriate.

Liaise with departments on neighbourhood improvements and services

Experience and knowledge

 Experience of providing good customer service

Experience of dealing with customers in person

 Experience of working with external partners

 Experience of working to plans and targets

 The ability to exercise good judgement Other Requirements

Willing to respond at short notice in the event of a major incident.
