Are you a passionate, dedicated Personal Advisor looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Personal Advisor to join a care experienced team based in Rochdale. You will be required to support and assist young people preparing to leave care and meet the responsibilities of the Local Authority for young people aged 16 and over who have entitlement under the Children Leaving Care Act. 

Pay Rates: £16.62 per hour

Duration: 26/12/2022 - 3 months

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.45pm - must be flexible - hybrid

Personal Advisor role: Full JD Available

• Work directly with the young people
• Promote independence and maximise life opportunities
• Provide practical and emotional support in all areas of their lives including mental health, life skills, education/ employment/ housing
• Undertake assessments to produce plans that respond to their needs
• Review of pathways plans until 18 years of age
• Implementation and revision of the pathway plan following their 18^th to ensure they are able to reach their goals
• Undertake where necessary advocate on behalf of a care leaver to ensure their needs are met
• Keep informed and keep track of the young person’s progress
• Let them be involved in their own decision process and planning
• Ensure that young people receive appropriate financial support and help develop their financial skills
• Be fully aware of the principles of safeguarding and address any concerns
• Maintain electronic records, documents, correspondence and forms
• Develop strong working relationships

Essential Requirements:

• Recent experience working with care leavers
• Recent experience working with vulnerable young people
• Knowledge of the statutory processes affecting outcomes for Cared 4 Children and Care Leavers
• Knowledge on Children Leaving Care Legislation
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Enhanced Child DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
