Qualified Adult Social Worker

We are currently looking for a Qualified Adult Social Worker to work with one of our clients based in Rochdale. You will be working for the council.

Pay rates paying £25 ph

Job Purpose

Role will involve working across the neighbourhood teams supporting adults aged 18 plus. We are a generic neighbourhood team and work with a range of individuals and families with various presenting circumstances. Nature of work will be primarily case management and may include safeguarding enquiries, duty work, capacity and best interest assessment / decision making and assessment and support planning. We cover physical disabilities, learning disabilities and older persons mental health and work in both community and 24 hour care settings.

Key Responsibilites

• To undertake social work functions in accordance with legislation, policies, procedures and best practice to deliver services effectively
• Offer advice, information and support to individuals and carers
• Work with individual families, carers, groups and communities to help them make informed decisions
• Assess needs and consider a range of options to recommend a course of action
• Respond to crisis situations within the legislative framework
• To adhere to policy, procedures and  best practice and ensure that Adults are kept safe and adhere to adults safeguarding policy, practice and legislation as required
• Work with individuals, families, carers, groups, communities and professionals to achieve change and developments to improve life opportunities.
• Advocate with, and on behalf of, individuals, families, carers, groups and communities
