Qualified Social Worker - Adult's Locality Team

We are currently recruiting a permenant position working as a Qualified Social Worker - Adult's Locality Team. You will be based in Southend working for the council.

Part Time (18.5 hours)

Permenant contract

Salary between £31, 371 - £36,876 per annum

Your new role

Southend Council have an exciting opportunity for a full time permanent 2 years post qualified Social Worker within the West Locality Team

The locality teams provide assessment and review functions for all age adults and older adults with mental ill health. The post holder will need to have a sound knowledge of the SET Procedures for Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and assessment and investigation skills. You will need to demonstrate that you have a proven ability in ensuring that adults and older people are appropriately safeguarded. It is desirable that you have some hospital and/or community experience to understand the interface and delivery of care between Health and Social Care, to include a working knowledge of Continuing Healthcare. You will be committed to ensuring a culture that adults are at the centre of all decision making and are in control of their lives. You will need to have the ability to work under pressure and deliver quality outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful on this position you need to have a social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. Previous experience of working with within the adults sector is essential for this job as is the ability to write up assessments and make judgements quickly and effectively. You must have also completed your ASYE
