Qualified Social Worker | Adults Physical Disabilities Team | Wakefield

We require an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work within an Adults Physical Disabilities team based within Wakefield. To be successful for this role, you are required to have a minimum of 2 years recent Social Work experience of working within an Adults Physical Disabilities team. 

As a Social Worker working with the elderly/physically disabled you must be able to:

• Carry out assessments or inquiries and plan a safeguard response
• Build effective working relationships with individuals and families as appropriate
• Help the service users to improve their circumstances
• Promote social justice and rights by challenging neglect, discrimination and exclusion
• Be the lead professional in collaborative work situations where a social work perspective is needed
• Take a lead on community development to assess, identify and maximise the strengths or assets of individuals, their families and their communities

To apply for this role you must have:

• A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)
• Be HCPC Registered
• Be eligible to work within the UK

Salary is £31 per hour
