Radiology Nurse

4Healthcare are currently seeking Radiology Nurses to work within Hospitals in Southend.

Hours: Full-Time Days

Shifts: Long Shifts Available

Pay Rate: £20 - £30 per hour

Who you are-

You will need to provide and maintain the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care within the radiology department and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team. You will be within hospitals and clinics specialising in diagnostic radiology. You will need to understand and have knowledge of controlled drug usage/storage and Radiology stock, Ionising Radiation, Medical Exposures Regulations (IR, MER 2000), which includes the wearing of Lead Protective clothing. As well as, having previous experience of Fluoro room, Angio Suite and Cardiac Cath Lab work.

What you will be doing-

Candidates will be expected to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, as well as communicate well with other members of staff and patients. You may be required to undertake Radiology procedures (including Nuclear Medicine) in the delivery of patient care, pre, peri-op and post procedure of diagnostics and/or intervention. From basic x-rays to complex MRIs that require the administration of dye contrast, radiology nurses work to support a radiologist's diagnostic plan while accounting for patient care, comfort, and well-being. You will need to wear lead protective equipment during fluoroscopic & Angio screening for prolonged periods.

What You will need-

To be able to register with us you will need to have a Registered NMC, an Enhanced DBS, to be IV Trained, ILS trained, have 3 years' worth of references and have 1 years minimum UK Hospital experience.
