Marie Curie Charity Organisation - Recruitment Co-ordinator

Location: Glasgow Hospice, Glasgow, G21 3US (REMOTE WORKING FROM HOME)

Contract: 1 role - 1 month placement (to cover staff absence)

2 roles - 3-month placement (to cover spike in recruitment volumes, roles may extend longer than 3 months

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm

Payrate: £12.50 an Hour

Description:

To manage the recruitment process in accordance with the Charity’s recruitment and selection policy, providing a professional, comprehensive and timely end-to-end recruitment service, including:

Ensuring Oracle (MC Candidate Management System) is used for managing all steps in the recruitment process i.e. Advertising, Shortlisting, Interview and New Starter forms.

Updating Oracle in a timely and accurate manner and be responsible for the integrity of held data on that system.

Responsibility for sourcing advertising options and determining the most effective recruitment methods and media sources.

Communicate and update the line managers on all stages of Recruitment and Pre-employment processes on a regular basis.

Manage and liaise with candidates through the recruitment process ensuring a positive experience.

Check that all candidates’ declarations have been checked and any issues are escalated to the Senior HR Advisor/HRBP.

Ensure Line Manager’s verify any gaps in employment at interview stage and that managers have provided all interview notes.

Liaise with recruitment agencies and preferred suppliers as required and manage the relationship effectively to ensure that Marie Curie are being considered as employer of choice and recruitment agencies are facilitating this.

Manage all aspects of recruitment administration including capturing campaign costs in Oracle to ensure that the process is as efficient and consistent as possible.

Liaise with the Marie Curie Pre-employment Administrator provider to ensure that all required pre-employment checks are completed in accordance with the applicable procedures and timescales.

Draft and issue offer letters and Contracts of employment in an efficient and timely manner to ensure that selected candidates have a positive recruitment experience and therefore, good first impression of Marie Curie.

Significant and recent experience of high volume complex recruitment activates across a multi- site environment

Prior experience of using applicant tracking systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with candidates and work colleagues.

High level of customer awareness and the ability to engage with prospective candidates.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good attention to detail

Demonstrate an ability to seek resolutions to problems with the minimum of supervision.

Ability to handle high volumes of work in a timely and effective manner.

Ability to prioritise and organise own workload.

High level of IT literacy for Word, Excel, E-mail and internet
