Resident Liaison Officer – Leicestershire (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Rate: £17.00ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Accountabilities:

  • To be responsible for making contact with residents where works are to be carried out and ensuring any special needs are identified and as far as possible catered for;  including:
  • To be responsible for resolving problems of access or other social issues;
  • To investigate and resolve complaints, councillor and MP enquires across the service and to provide resolution where possible within required internal timescales;
  • To advise, counsel and support residents to resolve their difficulties by frequent contact with them and assisting them in liaison with other agencies where appropriate;
  • To work closely with the appointed contractors’ Resident Liaison Officers to ensure that we constantly improve the resident experience and therefore drive up resident satisfaction;
  • To develop a resident database for use by council staff and Contractor Partners for assistance in delivering all work programmes;
  • To work closely within the Asset Management Team in producing a ‘communications strategy’ identifying key groups/individuals and agreeing a clear process for resident engagement which reaches out to the entire community, including hard to reach group
  • To assist the Asset Management Team in all aspects of resident engagement for responsive repairs and maintenance and all planned maintenance activity and to encourage and develop resident participation in all aspects of programme design and delivery;
  • To always see the service through the eyes of the customer and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate
  • To constantly challenge self performance and seek to find improvements
  • To carry out duties efficiently and effectively
  • To help build pride, passion and reputation for NWLDC
  • To participate in the council’s appraisal scheme and to undertake any necessary training and development as identified for the job role
  • To promote the council's Equality and Diversity Policy to ensure service provision and employment practices are non-discriminatory.
  • To undertake any other reasonable tasks appropriate to the grading of the post and as required by the Team Manager
  • To assist in the event of a civil emergency in any way as instructed
