Residential Support Worker – Exeter

Salary: £20ph – Umbrella

Full-Time (37 hours) and

Part-Time (25 hours)

Job Purpose:

We are looking for agency RSW staff - they need at least one year experience working in a residential children's home.  They need to remain calm in challenging situations, be a team player, have the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people, have emotional resilience.

Accountabilities:

Residential Support Workers required for Atkinson Secure Children's home in Exeter. Full and part time hours considered. Residential Support Workers, undertake key working responsibilities, such as organising activities, undertaking direct work with young people, liaising with education, health and care colleagues to ensure all aspects of the young person's care are being met. Must have a minimum of one years experience working in a children's secure residential home - Must be evidenced clearly on their CV whether they worked on a full time, part time or casual basis . They must be able to remain calm in challenging situations, able to build positive relationships with children and young people, emotional resilience. The rota is divided into Morning (7.15am - 3.15pm) and afternoon (2.15pm-10.15pm) shifts, including weekend working. Working with children/young people whose behaviour can be challenging and unpredictable.  Appropriate training is provided.
