Senior Accountant – Leicester (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate: £23.58ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

To provide training and development to members of staff in line with the ‘Vision & Values’ and ‘Leadership Qualities’ that enables them to do their best work resulting in high levels of people and organisational performance.

Accountabilities:  

• Maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of legislation, regulations, and guidance in the area of speciality assigned to the post.
• Interpret legislation and other guidance and lobby Government where necessary to improve the Council’s overall financial position.
• Provide advice on government policy and initiatives.
• Prepare capital budgets and forecasts.
• Identify areas of risk and opportunity and execute appropriate responses.
• Provide Elected Members and Senior Managers with information and advice to inform policy decisions on overall financial strategy.
