Senior Occupational Therapist | Initial Assessment Team or Reablement Service Team | Tower Hamlets

4Recruitment Services require an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within an Initial Assessment Team or Reablement Service Team based within Tower Hamlets. To be successful for this role, you are required to have a minimum of 1 year’s recent Occupational Therapy experience of working within an Initial Assessment Team or Reablement Service Team.

We are looking for dynamic and competent Occupational Therapists (OTs) to join the OT service in London Borough of Tower Hamlets. We have permanent and fixed term vacancies across a number of teams, including the Initial Assessment Team and the Reablement Service.

With a “can do” attitude and a team approach, you’ll have the interests of residents and carers at heart whilst seeking creative solutions, better value for money and ensuring they receive the highest standards of service.

Along with a professional OT qualification and HCPC registration, you will possess a firm knowledge of current policy and practice and the ability to apply these to the job for which you are applying. You should have knowledge of current developments in relevant legislation, national guidance and frameworks and how to access more detailed information when necessary, including the local authority’s responsibility to safeguard adults at risk.

You will be working with older people and younger adults leading on Care Act assessments, support planning and case management. Employing a strengths-based approach, you will be creative in your thinking and be person-centred in your work. You will be an established clinician with excellent communication skills, advanced assessment knowledge and a sound clinical background that will support you to liaise effectively with patients, and other stakeholders.

Rate is up to £23 to £25 per hour
