Social Worker | Participation Officer | Merton

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Merton to support and promote the participation and engagement of our young people, who are subject to child protection plans, children in need, looked after or who are care leavers.

In championing and promoting young people's participation and corporate parenting, you will work with colleagues throughout the Children, Schools and Families department, partner agencies and Children in Care Council.

You will promote and embed change through all levels of the organisation, and provide expert advice, make recommendations and lead on the implementation of new policies and procedures. Working with the Corporate Parenting Strategy Board and the Children's Safeguarding Board you will implement outcomes and actions in support of children and young people.

Social work qualified with experience of working and communicating with children of all ages, you will understand the legal and regulatory frameworks which underpin our duties and responsibilities.

Salary is £23ph - £25ph

To apply for this the Social Worker must have:

• A relevant Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work/DipSW or equivalent)
• Be HCPC Registered
• Be eligible to work within the UK
