Job Description
Support Worker (Independent Living at Home) - Barnsley
Are you a passionate, dedicated Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Support Worker to join a team based in Barnsley. You will be required to support service users to live as independently as possible in their own homes.
Pay Rates: £13.61 per hour
Duration: 03/04/2023 - 3 months
Hours: Rota basis between 07:00 - 22:00, 22 hrs/week, additional hours as required - Community based
Support Worker role: Full JD Available
- Assist service users practically and emotionally to achieve their maximum potential
- Activities of daily living
- Facilitate access to social and leisure opportunities
- Support with budgeting and purchasing
- Contribute to the monitoring process and attend service user reviews
- Ensure the senior team are kept informed in relation to personal development and any health, physical or emotional developments
- Assist to regain daily skills needed
- Assist to regain stamina, enabling them to manage daily living
- Deliver medication support in line with the medication policy
- Liase with other staff and agencies where necessary
- Form trusting working relationships
Essential Requirements:
- UK Driving Licence, Business Insurance, Access to a vehicle
- Recent experience in a similar role
- Recent experience working with vulnerable adults
- Knowledge of the needs of vulnerable adults living in the community
- You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
- Enhanced Adult DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
