Support worker/admin assistant- Norfolk

Location:  County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, Norfolk, NR1 2DH (Remote working, with collaboration and meetings via MS Teams. Equipment provided, with full training and support).

Contract:  initial 5 -month contract with possible further extension

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay: £10per hour

Job purpose:

 Requirement for Support Worker to provide administrative assistance 35 hours per week, working directly with NCC employee, an Education Representative, undertaking specific duties on behalf of the post-holder. Duties: Reports received daily from police. Support Worker adds data to master spreadsheet, using Synergy, Core Plus and Liquid Logic systems to identify school or college that children attend. Support Worker creates forms for each child to be sent to each school or college and uploads them via secure electronic file sharing system, AnyComms. Education Representative checks nature of incidents to decide whether telephone call required to school/college before electronic notification sent. Support Worker updates master spreadsheet for data collection purposes. Management of mailbox with Education Representative – general queries, requests for changes to key adult registration, education screening forms from schools/colleges etc. Some tasks require full Support Worker assistance. Support Worker will collate data for weekly reports for police and NCC. Other administrative duties, as required; transferring text from PowerPoint to Word document, attending training with Education Representative in order to support them, or supporting Education Representative while they deliver training. Please note: Role requires high levels of accuracy and good levels of speed. Notifications need to be sent to schools and colleges as close to 09:00 as possible each day, to enable them to offer support to the child(ren) when they arrive at school. On appointment, a Norfolk Constabulary vetting check will be undertaken due to the confidential nature of the role and sensitive information being disclosed. Term-time hours only, or non-workings days to be taken in line with Education Representative's scheduled leave during school holidays.
