Reablement /Discharge Support Worker – Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council

Job Description:

The Head of Service for the Discharge team is urgently looking for agency support due to the influx of candidates being discharges.

There is a high probability that some patients have been diagnosed/ have symptoms of COVID 19 however, full PPE is provided, including full protective suits.

There has been a huge increase in patients who are on end of life care (Not COVID related) who have been/ wanting to be discharged due to not being able to have any visitors.

They are looking for candidates who are able to hit the ground running, very resilient and flexible.

This is ongoing work and the more flexible candidates are the more likely that they will be able to get full time hours each week due to the high demands at the moment.

Due to the pandemic, the client is needing experienced candidates who have done moving and handling of patients and what would be hugely desirable is anyone who has dealt with end of life/palliative care previously.

Hours are very flexible however, where the team are short is evening and weekends, so anyone who would be able to cover these shifts that would be amazing
