Team Leader - Young People Leaving Care - East London

Are you a passionate, dedicated Team Leader looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Team Leader to join and manage a team of Key Workers based in East London. 

Pay Rate: £36,000/ annum

Duration: Permanent 

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, 37.5 hrs/ week 

Team Leader role: Full JD Available

  • To support and supervise staff to maintain and raise the standards in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Company.
  • Ensuring all key workers have the correct skills for the role.
  • Make weekly checks on the properties and keep in touch with key workers regarding maintenance and health and safety standards being reported and address.
  • To undertake routine administrative tasks and provide written reports.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work act.
  • Share the responsibility for out of hours calls with the service manager.
  • To complete risk assessments.
  • Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships.
  • Ensure safeguarding and protecting the welfare of each young person.
  • Assist and support Young People through the process of leaving care.
  • To undertake in planning for and preparation of Young People for admission or discharge.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings/ reviews.
  • Work closely and in co-operation with social work staff, specialists and other professional agencies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recent experience managing key workers
  • Previous experience of at least 1 year working with young people leaving care
  • Self-motivated and a positive nature
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
  • Willing to work additional hours where needed
  • Level 1 or 2 in Child Safeguarding
  • You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered onto the update service
