Salary: £ 10.14 Per Hour

Full Time (35 hours per week)

Role Purpose:

Team Secretaries will undertake tasks which will give additional support to social workers enabling them to focus more time on working directly with children and families. These tasks will include direct discussion with service users and other professional colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to the Administrative Co-ordinator who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training, and development.
• Team Secretaries will complete tasks required to enable statutory requirements about children within the child protection and looked after systems to be met.
• Carry out a range of administrative and data support duties, including the maintenance of accurate records and systems, ensuring data security at all times.
• To take minutes at complex meetings including child protection conferences and statutory legal meetings, prepare associated papers and routine follow up actions, ensuring that such documentation is suitable for subsequent use in the Court arena. Child Protection and Looked After cases account for more than 70% of all Safeguarding cases and may result in a subsequent court case.
